We first came across Damien Murphy from Phillips Nicholson First National over 4 years ago when we were looking for a house in the area. Although we did not buy in the area we were very impressed with Damien. Two years later we found ourselves in Aspendale. However things happen over time and we were on the move again. The first person we thought of to sell our house was Damien. We found him to have a nice calming manner which was what we wanted from a Vendor's point of view and also for the potential purchasers. Throughout the course Phillips Nicholson staff were very helpful and always available to speak to. We were impressed by the fact that Phillips Nicholson maintained a database of prospective clients – that enabled our house to be sold before it was even advertised. We were aware of this database because Anne Keogh contacted us several times over 3 years to alert us to properties that might suit our needs. Although we were very picky and it took two years to find what we were looking for, Anne never gave up on us. She was always friendly but professional – never pushy. She was the embodiment of the ethical approach espoused by the company. Although we did not buy from Phillips Nicholson, we choose Anne to sell our place knowing she would apply the same principles in selling for us as she had trying to sell to us. Just writing to express our appreciation with your efforts in selling our property. We have dealt with other agents in the past both in purchasing and selling on several occasions and the fact that we have only believed it worth while to express our appreciation in this format, says a lot for the way that you fairly and honestly conduct business. We are grateful to your no nonsense approach to real estate. From the very out set your appraisal was both fair and accurate as to what price was achievable, backed up with your local knowledge. You didn’t just simple try and get the listing by telling us a high and unrealistic figure to get your business and then go about the conditioning process of getting us to reduce our price. We found that we had a constant amount of worth while by appointment inspections which was a lot more convenient and stress free than having “open for Inspections”. The process of not having to pay advertising or fees up front until sold was also great, as you are prepared to put your money where your mouth is, so to speak. We were pleased with the end result and the healthy deposit, which enabled us to make some plans prior to settlement. Finally, a special thank-you to Anne, Manuela and the reception staff who were always pleasant and provided regular feedback without be constantly chased up to do so. This I have also found to be a problem with other agents – once they get the listing they have a tendency to forget about you! We would be happy for you to use us as a referral in the future.
